Community Outreach
Munyamadzi is dedicated to community outreach and uplift within the Luembe Chiefdom, within which the Reserve is located. On top of employing staff from the Chiefdom, we

-
Built a three-classroom block and new toilets at Ambo Basic School
-
Sponsor various community events, including public meetings and celebrations
-
Provide human-animal conflict resolution

We have also provided materials and funding to build a new Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW) office in Nyimba, the nearest town. We provide in-kind support to the DNPW and Community scouts in our Area Management Unit.

Our business model of multiple revenue streams allows for community support projects that tourism alone would not be able to finance.

We are looking into supporting more human-wildlife coexistence measures, as conservation success often translates into increases human-wildlife encounters. Measures such as conservation performance payments, tailored insurance schemes and multi-layered deterrent approaches are all part of this.

If you would like to help us increase our impact in the communities, please visit our "Support our work" page for information on how you can do so.
